A Champion for Vancouver–Little Mountain

I love Little Mountain. These communities are where I’ve lived and worked for years. And as a New Democrat, I’m proud of the work our NDP government has done to make life better for the people who live here.

But I also know, as you do, just how much we have left to do. Maybe I see the gaps as well as the strengths because I lived them: being adopted out of my community, seeing the challenges my working class parents faced, living on the streets in my youth, being renovicted more than a dozen times… and the profound new perspective I’ve gained from reconnecting with my birth family and Indigenous culture.

I’ve dedicated my life to closing gaps: building strong communities people can afford to live in; fighting for social and environmental justice, and bold climate action; confronting Vancouver’s housing crisis; working for reconciliation and inclusion.

That journey has taken me from community activism, to Vancouver City Council, to working with MLA George Heyman and members of our provincial cabinet.

Now I’d like your support to carry on that work as your BC NDP candidate to be Vancouver-Little Mountain’s MLA.

I’m honoured to have George’s support for the nomination, along with an inspiring array of leaders and community members who have urged me to run. I’m excited to see this growing team of progressive New Democrats coming together from every part of our community, as we prepare for this fall’s election.

I hope you’ll join us, and vote for me as your NDP candidate on April 4th in Vancouver-Little Mountain BC NDP Nomination Race. Together, we can build a strong future for everyone.
